1/23-27
This week, I got the opportunity to present my tri-fold board and all my research to other peers in different grades. My class set up our boards in a gallery walk fashion and had students walk around the library asking questions about our work this year. This was a great experience for me, as I developed a way to explain my topic in an understandable way to people who have little to no knowledge about my topic. Throughout my presentation, I figured out that I had to bring up specific pieces of information to engage my audience. For example, I tended to bring up research I had done about Amazon warehousing. I thought that the traveling robots were interesting to learn about, so I shared their functions and how they were programmed to my audience. I also discovered that the candy that I had set on my table was effective in driving an audience to my table. Overall, this gallery walk was a great learning experience, but also very exhausting. I hope to build my stamina and presentation skills throughout this year. I also took time to research for my final product. I researched private label products and learned how they have changed Amazon’s business model and contributed to their profits.
