This week, I elaborated on my final product idea of developing a mock website of Amazon that serves as a resource for customers to see where exactly their products are from. In this website, I am planning to provide information about all of Amazon’s processes in the supply chain. I find it interesting how items can be delivered to customers so quickly and how Amazon can predict customer trends so well and I believe that an audience will also enjoy learning about this topic. I spent this week watching videos and reading articles about how Amazon’s team can ship items to warehouses based on data analysis to increase efficiency and provide short lee times. I decided that in order to make this website, I have to learn basic code. I’ve been creating a schedule everyday to learn basic code by creating mock projects and watching videos. My dad also works in this field, so he will help my process in learning basic programming languages. For my original work, I’ve selected the format for my brochure that will make up my original work. I;m planning to fill this brochure with information about Amazon and their processes. I feel that this will be easy because of the intensive previous research I’ve done and the abundance of resources and studies available to me. I am excited to run my ideas by my mentor in our next meeting in two weeks.
